Emily Dunn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Baylor University and her Master of Science in Social Administration at Case Western Reserve University.
For three years, Emily was working in an inpatient facility in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was providing therapy and counseling for children and teenagers aged 11 to 18, both as a group and individually. After that, she returned to Texas and worked with families with children up to 3 years old in creating and enhancing secure parent-child bonding. Besides, she was also a psychotherapist in a Dallas children’s hospital, where she evaluated and treated kids aged 10 to 18 who were having suicidal thoughts and other mental health problems.
The clinical training of Emily included the treatment of patients who suffered from anxiety, depression, PTSD, suicidal thoughts, anger, and other mood disorders. She also dealt with trauma and communication issues that affected the family. She conducts therapy for all ages, and her main areas of expertise are child and adolescent mental health, parent coaching, and life transitions. The Sheldon and Rush coaching model (joint planning, observation, action/practice, reflection, and feedback) is the basic principle of Emily’s interactions with her clients. In this way, the therapy sessions are client-led. Emily has received training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), AS+K (Ask About Suicide to Save a Life), CALM (Counseling on Access to Lethal Means), SafeCare, and elements of DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy).
Emily sees it as an honor and a privilege to serve in the therapy profession. While forming a therapeutic alliance is an act of vulnerability and confidence that Emily considers at all times, the latter two are just the qualities she really does not want to mix. Anyone, regardless of their age, background, gender identity, or sexual orientation, is welcome. Emily makes every effort to establish a secure atmosphere for her clients and to allow them to feel whatever they need to feel and to be who they are.
Emily shares her home in the Mid-Cities with her husband, son, and two dogs. She likes to travel, walk, take care of her houseplants, read, and be with her family.
Emily is in-network with Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, United Healthcare, UMR, Magellan, Tricare/Triwest, Beacon/Carelon, Multiplan, ComPsych, and Baylor, Scott & White/Firstcare. She also provides a self-pay rate for those who do not have insurance or who have limited insurance coverage.
Emily is currently open to taking in a few more clients.

Clayton Aker is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas, practicing under the clinical supervision of Dr. Russ Bartee, LPC-S, and Sharon Fulcher-Estes, LPC-S, ACTP. He holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is currently a PhD candidate in Counseling Education and Supervision.
Clayton came to the counseling field after twenty years in pastoral ministry and hospice care, walking alongside people through grief, loss, crisis, and the full range of what it means to be human. He didn’t leave that work because it wasn’t meaningful; he left because he believed he could serve people more effectively with formal clinical training. His pastoral instincts didn’t disappear as he brings them into the therapy room with a genuine belief that you are more than your presenting problem, and that real care attends to the whole person: their history, their relationships, and their sense of meaning.
Clayton works from an Existential-Humanistic foundation, which means the work takes seriously the whole person—their story, their freedom, their meaning, and what it actually costs to live as the person they are. Therapy with him is relational before it is technical, and the goal is not just symptom relief but a life oriented around what actually matters. He draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Bowen Family Systems Theory, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, with additional training in Gottman Method for couples work and Humanistic Sand Tray Therapy.
Clayton works with individuals, couples, and groups, including leading groups within Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs. He works with adolescents ages 12 and up through adulthood. Areas of focus include anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, life transitions, infertility, loss of meaning, faith and spiritual deconstruction, addiction, and the particular weight carried by those in ministry vocations.
Clayton lives in Fort Worth with his wife, daughter, and their miniature schnauzer. Outside of the office, you can find him exploring the city or outdoors and enjoying a slow cup of coffee, a good book, or deep in a conversation.
Clayton is on some insurance panels. Our office is there to give you more information at info@vinewell.com. For those without insurance or underinsured, the therapist offers a self-pay rate. She is now open to taking new patients both through telehealth and in her office.
